Overview

ShadowReference is designed with privacy in mind. All V1 tools process data locally in your browser. We do not collect, store, or transmit your tool inputs to any server.

Data Processing

• Tool inputs are processed entirely client-side using JavaScript and browser Web APIs.
• We do not log tool input (JSON, JWTs, secrets, file contents) to analytics or error reporting services.
• Tool drafts stay in this browser until you clear them. They are not uploaded.

Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID G-EKDEH9VW6M) to understand how the site is used: page views, navigation, button and CTA clicks, tool runs (success or error, never the pasted text), search terms in the tool directory, theme changes, and file open events (file extension only).

Google Signals is enabled on the tag so Analytics can show aggregated age, gender, and interest buckets, plus cross-device stats, for visitors who are signed in to Google with ads personalization on. That is still not an email, name, or Google account. See Google's privacy policy and how to control Google personalization. Tool processing still happens only in your browser.

Local Storage

After a tool produces output, we keep that tool's input and output in this browser's localStorage so a refresh does not wipe your work. Drafts never leave your device and are not sent to our servers. Clicking Clear or emptying the fields removes that draft. Theme preference is also stored locally.

On a shared or public computer, click Clear when you are done — especially after pasting tokens, keys, or secrets.

Third-Party Services

Google Analytics loads from Google's servers for usage measurement. It does not receive what you paste into a tool. Tool processing stays in your browser.
